New York-born inventor who became famous inventing the first home security system. She worked as a nurse and her husband, Albert Brown, worked as an electronics technician not allowing them the standard nine-to-five. Their hours weren’t in favor of the high crime rate in their Queens, New York City neighborhood. The original invention was consisted of peepholes, a camera, monitors, and a two-way microphone.
