Forward who was selected 7th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. After spending his first four NBA seasons in Los Angeles, he played one season with the New Orleans Pelicans, then signed with the New York Knicks in 2019. He made his first NBA All-Star Game in 2021 and also received the 2021 NBA Most Improved Player award. 

Before Fame

He was a McDonald’s All-American his senior year at Prestonwood Christian Academy. 


He was named ESPN’s #3 overall player for the high school graduating class of 2013. He joined the University of Kentucky in one of the school’s top recruiting classes ever and helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA Championship game as a freshman in 2014. 

Family Life

He and his fiancee Kendra Shaw welcomed a son, Kyden, in 2016. They later married in August 2017. In October 2021, his second son, Jayce, was born.
