Dee Dee had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, and abused Gypsy for her entire childhood and young adulthood in order to create the illusion that Gypsy suffered from multiple chronic illnesses. 

Trivia

She conspired to kill her mother in June 2015. In July of the same year, she accepted a plea bargain and was sentenced to ten years in jail.  She was released from prison in December of 2023.  After her prison release, she grew on TikTok under her gypsyroseblanchard727 account to surpass 6 million followers.

Family Life

Her parents were Dee Dee and Rod Blanchard. She met her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn via the internet. She announced her engagement to her fiancé Ken in April 2019; the two called off their engagement a few months later. She married Ryan Scott Anderson in the summer of 2022.
