About

Named by the New York Times as “Hip Hop’s One-Man Ministry of Insults”, he was a renowned DJ and music producer known for his work with a variety of hip hop artists like Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe. He released almost half a dozen successful albums after his music career began in 2003. He died at the age of 55 due to COVID-related complications. 

Before Fame

He started as a prominent graffiti artist at the height of the movement in the 1980s and was featured in the documentary Style Wars. However, after the movement’s decline, he began dealing narcotics and was later jailed until his release in 1990.

Trivia

In 2006, he released the collaborative album The Champions: North Meets South with Greg Street. He released over 25 mixtapes throughout his career.

His real name was Keith Grayson and he was a born and raised New Yorker.
